Ring in the New Year at The Reserve and help end SMA. Talk about starting the year off right!

Yesterday was a pretty big day for Gwendolyn. Truthfully, it was a big day for all of us. Gwendolyn rode “shotgun!” while sitting in her powerchair and spent three hours — THREE WHOLE HOURS — upright in it. She loved it. We loved it. And, as usual, getting out of our personal comfort zone and figuring out a way to safely make things happen for our little girl was a great step for all of us.

We had a really nice Thanksgiving weekend. It was a quiet one and one that started out a bit disappointing and had a bit of worry in the middle, but nonetheless a really wonderful long weekend with our feisty big girl.

Little Miss G is now BIG Miss G. No huge surprise, but seriously… my baby is a giant. We haven't done a weight/height update in quite some time and whoa has she grown. Can you believe our little peanut is now over 42 inches tall? That is 3 1/2 feet. Giant! She is now more than half my height. And boy does she love to gloat about it

Yesterday was a very special day for Gwendolyn. Her miniature horse buddy, Little Star, made a special guest appearance at her preschool. And Gwendolyn got to show him off and introduce him to all of her classmates! She was in heaven — and that's a HUGE understatement!

This weekend in the Dayton, Ohio area, Photography by MM is hosting a Holiday Mini-Session fundraiser for theGSF and we are so honored. From 9 am to 9 pm at the Chatauqua Community Center, Melissa from Photography by MM will be photographing families in 30-minute increment spots — for only $50. 

To say Team GSF Santa Barbara Marathon was a success is an understatement. $52,000 raised. 431 donors. 36 Team Sponsors. Relay, Half, and Full Marathons completed — many setting their personal best times or running for the first time. 30 runners wearing Team GSF NEVER GIVE UP. race jerseys. Crowds chanting “Never Give Up.” to rally our team on throughout the entire course. Constant questions about why we were running, what we are about, and how they can get involved. Big article about Team GSF in Sunday's newspaper. Successful? Absolutely! And such a positive experience for everyone involved.

We are so excited about tomorrow's race and we are so thrilled so many of you have asked how and where you can cheer the team on. We know all the runners will be invigorated by your cheers of support and with it expect to be windy and rainy, your rallies will be extra appreciated.
