Race Day Cheerleaders

We are so excited about tomorrow's Santa Barbara International Marathon and we are so thrilled so many of you have asked how and where you can cheer the team on. We know all the runners will be invigorated by your cheers of support and with it expected to rain, your rallies will be extra appreciated. You can spot all the Team GSF runners very easily in their NEVER GIVE UP. jerseys — looking good smile

The race goes all over Santa Barbara ending at the scenic Santa Barbara City College track right across from the beach. There are Team GSF folks running the Relay, Half and Full and all of them are pushing themselves — so you will spot them working hard on all stretches of the course. Here are some general meet up areas we thought would be easiest for people to find, walk to, or park near, but anywhere along the route is a good spot to cheer people on. There will be road closures so not all of these are going to be accessible by car. Click here to see the closure info.

The Full Marathon and Relay start is at Dos Pueblos High School at 7:15 am and the Half Marathon start is at Page Youth Center (on Hollister) at 7:45.

  • Stowe House (Mile 2)
  • Girsh Park (Mile 5)
  • Sand Piper (Mile 7)
  • Cathedral Oaks Athletic Club (Mile 12)
  • Los Positas & Modoc (Mile 21 Full/Mile 8 Half)
  • Meigs & Cliff (Mile 24 Full/Mile 11 Half)
  • Loyola & Shoreline — or anywhere along Shoreline (Last few miles)
  • Santa Barbara City College/Leadbetter Beach (END!). The Finish Line Festival goes until 1:30 and we will be cheering big time!

And if you aren't in Santa Barbara — join the many who are running in their own area in honor of Team GSF. Be sure to post a picture on our Facebook Fan Page of you on your run of support! Maybe tomorrow will be your first day of training so you can join us at next year's Santa Barbara race. The Relay, Half, or Full — are calling YOUR name smile
