The Schmid family and Sweet Baby Zane supporters are incredible! In the year since Zane's passing, the Schmid's have raised over $125,000 for SMA. And just as importantly they have inspired thousands of friends, family members, and people around the world to get involved in fighting this disease. Most recently, they succeeded in selling over 500 tickets for the September 20th Phillies game (you can still buy tickets) for the Phight SMA at the Phillies event they created and Hillary will now be throwing out the first pitch and an SMA awareness video will play on the jumbo-tron for the 48,000 people at the game! And they are also preparing their fun 2nd Annual Zane's Run. Their positivity and can-do spirit continually touch the lives of so many. And we are honored to call them friends and to be in this SMA fight with people like them!
Well, sweet baby Zane and her wonderful parents have inspired yet another amazing feat. Zane's Uncle James and three of his friends — Tom, Jen, and Joyce — just completed the Solana Beach Triathlon and decided to use this race as an opportunity to increase SMA awareness and raise research funds in Zane's memory. We are so honored they selected the GSF for this wonderful achievement. Thank you James, Tom, Jen and Joyce. We are so inspired by what you accomplished and your support makes a difference!
