We had a really fun weekend and a great 4th of July.
1. It felt really nice to just be together. I don't know why because we are together quite a lot, but this weekend seemed a little slower…a little less doing and just being — and I loved it.
2. Bill got to go golfing on Saturday — a Father's Day pressie — and he had a really wonderful, relaxing time. He doesn't get much “me” time and so Miss G and I were so thrilled to see him come home looking tanned, relaxed, and refreshed. He deserves it!
3. While Bill was golfing, I really enjoyed spending time decorating Gwendolyn's new “Big Girl Room.” Oh yes, the Big Girl is getting ready for the real deal “Big Girl Room.” In fact, the “Big Girl Bed” already arrived and is in full use…and Gwendolyn LOVES it — as in wants to be in it all the time. She wants to read books in it and listen to music in it… getting tucked in is extra special… and she loves that we can all snuggle up together in her new bed (it's a bit squished with Elmo and everyone in there, too, but they are just going to have to make room sometimes
