We are so excited — the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation was just selected by the Hope Calendar as their charity for 2011. The Hope Calendar was started by Houston photographer, Debi Gomez, as an effort to give back to causes impacting children and, in the last three years, over $19,000 has been donated! And this year, SMA will be the cause the Hope Calendar is championing!
We are enormously humbled and honored to be part of this inspiring project. We want to thank the Beasley-Wright family, whose darling son, Eli, inspired friends to nominate GSF for this honor. And we want to thank Debi for seeing how much hope her Hope Calendar will bring to SMA.

THE GWENDOLYN STRONG FOUNDATION – Beneficiary of the 2011 Hope Calendar
The Hope Calendar has announced the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation (GSF) as it's 2011 beneficiary! The Hope Calendar (www.hopecalendar.com) is published by Houston photographer, Debi Gomez (Life's Images Photography) as an annual effort to give back to children's charities. The Hope Calendar's fourth annual projectis themed”Angels of Hope” andcontains 12 months of beautiful, inspiring children photographed by Life's Images. The images portray the hope, beauty and innocence of children and all proceeds from sales are donated – this year to the GSF!
WHYGSF: The Hope Calendaris foremost based on “HOPE”… to inspire hope but also toturn that hopeinto something tangible – a cure,comfort,awareness. We chose GSFas the 2011 beneficiaryto honor a Houston family's fight against SMA (http://www.througheliseyes.org) and to join GSF in their valiant fight to accelerate research one step closer toward a cure for SMA, the #1 genetic killer of young children.
