Good Things For Gwendolyn—Valentines

I can't believe it has been a week since Valentine's Day and I haven't posted about the many, many good things. Bottom line — Gwendolyn loved all of it!

Valentine Party. Our Valentine fun began with a party hosted by our friend Marina a few days before the official day. Marina is one of those talented people who can throw together anything and it looks not just inviting, but fabulous. She thought of every detail, including, yes, heart-shaped goodies! And all the children were super excited to make Valentines together, use glittery heart stickers, and then lovingly give them to each other. And Gwendolyn was so attentive, listened to everything her pals were saying and chimed in every now and then, and simply loved when they helped her with her stickers or handed her a Valentine! (And isn't she adorable in her Beb-e-ssentials monkey hat?)

Special Outfit. Gwendolyn loves being involved in what she wears, especially when it is a special day. And thanks to some very sweet friends, she had an extra special Valentine outfit: her own personalized “Just Keep Swimming” Nemo shirt (thank you Jennifer!) and a special Couture To Cure Valentine clippie (thank you Jadon!). She felt so pretty and loved being in red and pink all day!

.

Sweet Valentines. All week long Gwendolyn received sweet and thoughtful Valentines from friends. There was this adorable stud muffin pic from Jadon (melt my heart! And, yes, Gwendolyn was very impressed!):

She received lots of thoughtful pictures and cards at school. And she loved opening the cards that arrived in the mail. And every single Valentine she studied, wanted to talk about, and they truly made her feel special!

Opening pressies. One thing that stood out this year was that Gwendolyn not only loved receiving gifts, she was just as excited to give them. She was very serious in the making process of each Valentine and was so proud of each one she made. And in the morning on Valentine's Day when Bill asked her, “Do you want to give Mommy her Valentine present?” Her eyes grew huge, she stopped watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (wow!), and her body started to quiver with excitement as she gave a bursting, “GUH!” Seeing her so enthusiastic made my entire day!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's week and thank you for making my little girl feel so loved!!!
