With our new website (DudsAndRags.com) launching we thought we needed to give a little back. I had stumbled upon the Strong's blog a few months prior and couldn't stop thinking about the incredible strength and heart that comes from that family and all of Gwendolyn's supporters. All of us here at Duds & Rags educated ourselves on SMA and watched various videos made by families of children who are affected (I needed a tissue or two!). We are just so excited to see what kind of money we can raise for the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation and take one step further to finding a cure!
Duds & Rags is an online consignment store based in Los Angeles. We specialize in selling gently used designer and contemporary clothing, shoes and accessories for men and women. And in addition to sales, we need merchandise!! Until September 30th, 15% of all sales from DudsAndRags.com will be donated to the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation. Although not mandatory, Duds & Rags is also inviting anyone who wishes to consign their items during the GSF promotion date to match our donation. So, instead of receiving 50% of every item that sells, you will receive 35% and the other 15% will also be donated to the cause. You can also choose your donation percentage.
If you don't live in Los Angeles, that's OK! Just shoot us an email with a list of what you have and we'll get a UPS shipping label to you in no time. Remember: we are not a physical store, so you don't have to worry about piling everything into your car and waiting in line at a shop. We come to you! Let us know when you're available and we'll set up an appointment.
Let's clean out those closets, do a little shopping and help the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation find a cure for SMA!
Duds and Rags: Consignment Made Easy
Okay all you clotheshorses out there — here is the perfect fundraiser for you! Sarah at Duds and Rags, an online consignment shop, contacted me recently about hosting a fundraiser for GSF. This is the PERFECT time to go through your closet for things like designer jeans (you know…the ones that no longer fit), the fierce heels you bought that, let's be honest, are just not practical, and those name-brand dresses you wore once… And make room for new treasures! Here is the scoop:
How cool is that! Sell your clothes and contribute to a cure for SMA. And ALL proceeds form this will go toward the $200K for SMA campaign! To book an appointment please email: [email protected] or [email protected]. And be sure to pass this on to friends!
