The inspiring Team Lucy's Hope For A Cure have reason to celebrate — with exactly a month to go they have nearly reached their $10,000 goal for their To Shave or Not To Shave campaign, raising over $8,000 so far! And they have been working hard to do it. The woman behind the mission, Barb Zahn, has literally rallied an army of supporters around her wonderfully wild idea — and, more importantly, around her darling baby Lucy. In the last few months Team Lucy's Hope For A Cure has hosted a variety of fundraisers such as, Change for Change, rummage sales and Rock SMA, which included a dinner, a silent auction, and a live band. And they aren't finished. They have brat fry, a bake sale, a bar benefit, a flip cup tourney, another rummage sale, and they are even hosting a float in an upcoming festival! And on the BIG day next month, little Lucy's special first birthday, Lucy's Hope For A Cure is celebrating in a hotel ballroom as the team shaves, shears, and GOES BALD TO SAVE BABIES!!! And shavers are still bringing in sponsors for their lovely locks and people are bidding on a chance to do the shaving. We are so inspired by Team Lucy and their motivation, determination, and good old fashioned really hard work. And we are so honored to be involved with such remarkable people!
