Stanford Update (2)

We've had a very productive week meeting with a number of SMA specialists at Stanford and have learned a ton about how to provide Gwendolyn with the best quality of life possible through this journey. Gwendolyn was scheduled to have surgery tomorrow to implant a very important feeding tube in her stomach but yesterday we had an extremely terrifying episode while we were eating lunch. Gwendolyn suddenly stopped breathing and we had to rush her to the emergency room. Luckily it was less than a mile away. She pulled through and is relatively stable now but the surgery has been pushed back to next Tuesday at the earliest while we work to nurse Gwendolyn back to health. I'll update all of you when we know more. Thanks for all of your continued prayers and support through all of this — it really means a lot to both Victoria and me.

Love,

Bill, Victoria, and Gwendolyn
