Last time we met with Dr. Wang he mentioned having us start slowly
getting Gwendolyn used to sitting in elevated positions to give her
the best chance of being physically able to be upright if she is
strong enough to use a wheelchair down the road. We have been holding
her up in our arms for months and she loves that (and so do we), but
apparently that is much less strenuous on her than when she is
elevated on her own. The process is very slow and we are only doing it
for short periods of time once a day if she can handle it, but so far
she has done very well and we think she likes her new view of the
world
