Details of the Party:
We hosted the party at the Beach Grill at Padaro, which was the perfect setting next to the ocean and we had gorgeous weather to boot. Gwendolyn was dressed to the nines in an orange and pink tutu with a personalized shirt that said “Princess Gwendolyn.” And, of course, she had her crown and scepter. She looked so cute and she knew it! And I loved that she clearly felt so special. I created a “Happy Birthday Princess Gwendolyn” banner that we hung in the background. Each table was covered with white craft paper and decorated with jeweled rings, crayons for the children to color on the tables, and gold crowns for everyone to personalize with princess stickers and rhinestone jewel stickers. And we hung photos of Gwendolyn, framed in orange and pink crowns that I painted and glittered, on the umbrellas of each table. We had mini cupcakes frosted in orange and pink from Crushcakes Cupcakery and they also created a special surprise topper for us that was decorated with hearts. Everyone was entertained by Princess Penny's beautiful face painting and Mr. Dave Twister's awesome balloon sculptures — they were fantastic! The party favor was a yummy crown cookie with pink and orange icing made with love by Aunt Kristen and Gramma. And Meg Fish documented the fabulous day! (See the beautiful Slideshow she created here.)
Gwendolyn LOVED her party. She loved being surrounded by people who love her and make her feel included. She loved the excitement. She loved having pretty flowers painted on her face. She loved watching all her friends run and laugh and play. She loved everyone singing “Happy Birthday” to her. She loved eating her cupcake. And she loved being the center of attention! It was a royal celebration for our sweet princess and we loved seeing our little girl so happy!
