Firstly, it seems Gwendolyn is doing okay. We are definitely watching her closely, but we have not had any other incidents. (Thank goodness and knock on wood!) She is most comfortable on BiPAP and can only come off of it for short periods of time. We don't like that, but there are no clear signals of distress. Here is Gwendolyn with her Sesame Crew yesterday. She was beyond ecstatic to have all three. She thought it was hilarious and kept thoughtfully gazing at each one as if to make sure they each knew how special they are as individuals and then she would grin. So cute.
Today we all needed to get out and do something as a family. After a long nap, Gwendolyn was ready for a fun adventure at the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum. Even though it is just a walk away, this was our first time there. They just opened the Butterflies Alive exhibit and, of course, we had to take our little butterfly to witness the beauty. The neat thing was she really seemed excited by it. She was really looking around and taking it all in and she loved when Daddy pointed things out to her.
Thank you all for the comments and emails of concern and support. It really does help.
