We have quite a few new snuggly friends lately from different special people in our lives and Gwendolyn is enjoying each of them completely. Gwendolyn always names each new doll and she will not simply accept the first name we throw out…that is unless it strikes her fancy. And once a doll is named, she remembers and gets perturbed if we call it the wrong name. She is also very serious about selecting who she sleeps with at nap time and at night and who she takes with her on outings. She will look at each option, study them, and then firmly let us know of the chosen pa– l and if we get it wrong…oh, boy, she makes it clear in 2 seconds flat and we quickly scramble to interpret which one it is she really wants.
So…INTRODUCING….
“Snuffy” — Our fabulous nurses/friends Evelyn and Deanna brought Gwendolyn Snuffy! Yes, Aloysius Snuffleupagus (and, yes, I did actually look up his full name and proper spelling…yeah I'm that mom.) Evelyn and Deanna have given Gwendolyn so many of of her favorite Sesame Street pals and now with Snuffy (and he's so super soft), she pretty much has the entire SS gang! Gwendolyn loves holding his nose!
“Mr Monarch” — We received the most wonderful surprise package from our friends, the Nobles, filled with butterfly surprises, including this perfect for Gwendolyn monarch finger puppet. She loves being coy and hiding behind his pretty wings.
“Lauren Ballerina Bear” and “I love NY Monkey” — And then this week Lauren brought Gwendolyn a pretty purple tutu wearing bear who Gwendolyn promptly named, “Lauren.” And a gibbon monkey with a fabulous big monkey sound. And he's super neat because he velcros around her neck making caring him and her around a cinch.
“Tex” — And finally, Bill went to Austin, Texas over the weekend for a quick trip and found this very special new pony for Gwendolyn. Tex is pretty fun…
