We are humbled and honored to have been selected as one of only three charities to benefit from the 15th Annual Morongo Charity Golf Tournament put on by the Morongo Casino, Resort, and Spa in Cabazon, California. And we are simply speechless by their incredible generosity. Morongo donated $20,000 to the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation to further our mission to end SMA, the #1 genetic killer of young children.
Morongo is oneof the oldest and most successful Indian gaming facilities in California and one of the largest tribal gaming facilities in the entire United States.The sold out tournament was held at the beautiful and challengingMorongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon — home of the Southern California PGA. It was a gorgeous day with perfect weather and everyone, including GSF representatives, had a blast! After the full day of golf, the hundreds of people from the tournament convened for a beautiful banquet dinner. The evening concluded with presentations about each charity (we were honored by what the tribal elders had to say about the GSF and the SMA cause)and the GSF was presented with the incredible $20,000 check.
