Our friends are awesome! Just flat out amazing! Back in October our dear friends Heather, Erin, Jill, Wade, Ace, and Mark planned a GIANT rummage sale to pitch in and be part of GSF's $200K for SMA campaign. This isn't the first time this awesome group of friends has rolled up their sleeves to help end SMA. They were also one of the first to sign up for GSF's Unite For The Cure campaign last year by hosting a fun bowling event, Strike Down SMA! Yep, our friends are awesome!
So this year, Heather, Erin, Jill, Wade, Ace, and Mark decided to hold a massive garage sale/rummage sale. They got their community involved, asking friends, neighbors and colleagues to donate items and then drove all over Las Vegas picking up the goodies. And since Erin is a teacher at an elementary school, she went to the PTA to get the school involved. Not only did the PTA agree to host the sale in the school's auditorium, but Erin got them motivated to send flyers home and many of the school parents and teachers helped make the event so great. It took them 7 hours to set everything up on Friday and then bright and early Saturday morning the big sell-off began. Hundreds of people shopped that day and now an entirely new community knows a little bit more about SMA!!!
And the day was a HUGE success!!! Because of their hard work, $2,077.00 was raised for SMA research!!! Thank you guys so very much for being such an incredible support!!! Together we can End SMA!!!
