We are home after a very successful trip. Gwendolyn LOVED the RV — especially “driving” the wheel, honking the horn, and sleeping next to Mommy and Daddy every night. I feel much relieved that our doctors were pleased, Gwendolyn did well out of our normal routine, and, overall, we managed really well and had some fun as a family in the process. However, we are exhausted, Gwendolyn included. She pretty much slept through Gilroy and I don't blame her. The added benefit of this excursion is I now feel more confident to venture out — out of Santa Barbara — out of our house. We will be heading back up to Stanford in the next few weeks for some tests and have decided to make a trip out of it. We are hoping to take Gwendolyn to the Monterey Aquarium and may make it up to the Redwoods. Well, off to hit the pillow (although I think the pillows in the RV were much nicer!).
