Just wanted to post an update. Gwendolyn is stable and the additional nebulizing treatments with Mucamyst (or as our friend, Jennifer, calls it = Mucus Get Out) seems to be really helping break up Mr. Sticky. It is an odd thing because Gwendolyn doesn't seem full blown sick — no fever, no runny nose, no major of anything. BUT…she isn't quite right either. We aren't sure if we just caught something early or if there is more to come. Her oxygen is low at night, but great in the day. She's taking long naps, but she's jolly when awake. She's needing and wanting the treatments, but she is ready to play and read and be entertained the rest of the time. She is not doing well off bipap at all though and that always worries us. So we are working at this with treatments and watching and are glad Miss Sunshine is holding steady. And are hoping, hoping, hoping this is just a blip on the radar.
Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know we are okay, tired and nervous, but okay. And most importantly Gwendolyn is okay. Your emails and comments have meant so much to us. Thank you for reminding us there are so many people who have our little girl in their heart, thoughts and prayers. It gives us strength.
PS — Isn't she cute playing dress up in Mommy's hat
