They won’t be the first to cross the finish line in Saturday’s Santa Barbara Veteran’s Day Marathon and Half but they will probably receive the most cheers.
Bill Strong will push his 7-year-old daughter Gwendolyn in the half marathon. They will be joined by fifty friends in the race to raise money and awareness for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. SMA is the number one genetic cause of death in infants and it affects all voluntary muscles.
