Gwendolyn Has Her Own Ideas

Gwendolyn decided she didn't want to take a nap today and she definitely didn't want to go to bed tonight. With a busy day and the lack of sleep, I was surprised she wasn't crabby. In fact, she had lots of cheerful babble to say to all of her pals tonight. Finally, they wore her out and she reluctantly nodded off — nearly two hours later than her usual bedtime. I think one of the sweetest things is to watch her the moments before she falls asleep. Her eyes flicker as they fight to stay alert and then finally rest peacefully as they give in to the sleep fairies.
