Gwendolyn's out-of-this world Gramma is up to it again! And this time she's come up with a great way to support SMA research and awareness programs and for everyone to have fun in the process — a golf tournament — the First Annual Golf For A Cure Tournament to benefit the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation! Gramma and our good family friend Jeff Hanson have been busy, busy, busy rolling up their sleeves conceptualizing, planning, and organizing this event. A huge, special thank you to Jeff for all of his help — we really appreciate all that you both are doing to help END SMA!
So, here are the event details!
First Annual Golf For A Cure Tournament —> a day of golfing fun for everyone to benefit SMA research and awareness!
- When: Friday, November 20, 2009 at 11:30am — shotgun start (that means everyone will start at the same time)
- Where: Sterling Hills Golf Club in Camarillo, California (click here for a map)
- What: Four person scramble. Everyone, and we mean everyone, is welcome to participate. If you can't pull together a group of 4 (four), no problem, we'll be putting teams together
- Cost: $100 per person – deductible charitable donation; includes golf tournament, prizes, and a yummy BBQ dinner after the tournament
- Non Golfers: Not a golfer, no problem! Please join us for a delicious BBQ and prizes following the golf tournament. Cost for dinner is $25 per person – deductible charitable donation
- Tee Sponsors: We are soliciting tee sponsors for the tournament. The cost is $150 per tee – deductible charitable donation – and the fee includes a personalized tee sponsorship sign

I'll be playing in the tournament, or hacking around, and our plan (this may change) is for Victoria and Gwendolyn to be there at some point to cheer everyone on. We can't wait to see everyone out enjoying themselves. It's going to be a really fun event!
