Easter Fun

We had such a nice Easter weekend and it was so fun to see Gwendolyn loving the attention, the new games, and the company.

On Saturday we decorated colorful plastic eggs with fun foam stickers while snuggling with our new friend Lamby. Gwendolyn loved this activity and was very particular about which stickers went on which color eggs. Occasionally she would look over to Lamby to see if he approved.

GrandPa arrived later that afternoon and Gwendolyn was thrilled to hear his new songs and have stories read to her. She loved the dragonfly balloon he brought and we all had fun playing with the little chicks and goodies sent from friends. She had a hard time going to sleep that night because she didn't want to miss the fun!

Then on Sunday, she wore a darling dress from Gramma with pigtails and matching bows. She was so excited to wear it (yes, she is a fashionista!). Gwendolyn got to go on a walk with Gramma and Daddy while Mommy and GrandPa went to church. It was a gorgeous day and later that afteroon we had a wonderful lunch on the deck. We were so thrilled that our priest, Mark, got to join us. He is one of our favorite people and Gwendolyn adores him, too.

Toward the end of the day we hunted for the eggs we decorated on Saturday. They were hidden in fun places all around the house. Gramma and GrandPa helped Gwendolyn find them and she was so proud of herself each time she put an egg in her basket (actually it was GrandPa's hat). At the end of the hunt she found her Easter basket filled with lots of treasures, including an Ernie doll that she adores. She also found a second bunny-themed basket from Gramma.

It was a big weekend for our little girl and Gwendolyn thoroughly enjoyed herself. On Sunday evening when we asked her if she liked Easter, she enthusiastically responded with a “YES, YES, YES” sound. Soon after she fell fast asleep clutching her new bunny.
