We shared Gwendolyn’s life with the world and we know the world fell in love with our little girl. We welcome all those she touched to attend her public memorial service. A reception will follow immediately after the service in the Parish Hall.
Attire
We urge you to honor Gwendolyn by wearing black another day. Gwendolyn loved all things fancy. She loved purple and pink. She loved butterflies. She loved NEVER GIVE UP. Though we are devastated, bright colors and positivity represent who she was and the joy-filled life she lived.
Children
Children were an integral part of Gwendolyn’s world and please know we welcome them to attend and participate in the service. As part of the celebration and to help children process their grief we will have a special activity for children to write, draw, or decorate a purple butterfly note that will be sent off with her.
We know this is a difficult time for many families as you navigate your child’s grief and loss of their friend. If you choose not to attend Gwendolyn’s service with your child, please know we understand. You know your child best, just as we always knew ours.
