About a month ago, Gwendolyn received an incredible gift from Milverstead Publishing — an Apple iPad. And to say the least it has been an amazing device for her to play with, interact with, and enjoy. The sensitive touch capability and the large screen allows her to do so many things that she's never been able to do independently before (strum a guitar, turn the pages of a book, flip flash cards and play all by herself) — and it's just wonderful! This generous act of kindness and the independence this device means for SMA, got us thinking — what a fun and positive giveway for SMA families to be involved in — especially as it can literally help open up a new world to someone battling this disease.
