We had a great day with family and friends on Saturday, July 5th celebrating Gwendolyn's 9 month and Bill's thirty-something-th birthday. Grandpa Bill, Gramma Ellen, Aunt Kristen, Uncle Richard, Jeff and Kris Hanson, and Nick Bartolo came up from Los Angels to join us. Despite the fires in the area, it turned out to be a really beautiful day in Santa Barbara. Gwendolyn, as usual, enjoyed every second of the party and loved especially loved being held up to look around at everyone and everything. It's great to see her so strong and enjoying taking the world in. We had Bill's favorite — barbecue — and ate outside on our deck. We brought Gwendolyn out in her Quinny stroller and rolled her equipment cart out right next to Victoria — Gwendolyn held onto her Mickey Mouse birthday balloon and babbled away through the entire meal. She definitely partied a bit too hard as she's been recovering from her big birthday bash ever since
