Bill and I are continually humbled by the outpouring of support and love for our little girl. Throughout the last few devastating months, we have been continually uplifted by the kindness and selflessness of others. We have received beautiful letters and emails, delicious homemade meals, handmade blankets, toys, and gifts from family and friends and even from people we do not know — all with the hope of helping us…and they do…you do!
And now to see so much support for the SMA Treatment Acceleration Act. Every time I read or hear that someone has written to their representative to show their support or I see a new name on PetitionToCureSMA.com, I feel as if people are reaching to lift up my baby — to save her from harm. I know in my mind that this legislation may not save Gwendolyn, but in my heart I have to hope.
