On Sunday (8/17), we're packing up and hittin' the road in the RV again. We have several all day long appointments at Stanford with Gwendolyn's neurologist, Dr. Wang. We will be checking into the day hospital and Dr. Wang is going to be taking blood from Gwendolyn every two hours to see how her protein levels change after receiving a new medicine. We then have to do it all again in a few days, so instead of going back and forth between Palo Alto and Santa Barbara, we have decided to make a vacation out of it and do a few things we always looked forward to doing as a family.
We'll be traveling to Palo Alto for a few days and then our plan is to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but we're still working on the logistics. Then we head to Humboldt County and will be staying near Eureka and the California Redwoods. We hope to see one of Victoria's dearest friends, Amanda, while we are up there. Then it's back to Palo Alto for more blood work and then home.
We're looking forward to the trip, but definitely a bit nervous as usual. I'm sure we'll be sending plenty of updates from the road.
