Good Times

We have really enjoyed our little Northern California family vacation between doctor's visits and, although we weren't sure if we were ready for all of this, it was really good for us to get out of our routine a bit. It has been tiring, but wonderful to be just the three of us — a family. We have seen new things, experienced new wonders, made new friends, and embraced old ones. We ran out of water only once (Daddy didn't fill it up correctly), got lost only once (good thing San Franciscans are accustomed to big buses), and had only one medical event (Mommy stupidly burned her thumb making Spanish rice in the microwave). We have loved our little girl's mesmerized expressions, savored every moment, and documented the entire thing. Gwendolyn seems ready for the next big adventure, so it is off to Camp Gramma for a week of swimming and spoiling! (A pipe burst on our second floor just before we left so our house is under construction right now — ugh).

I know everyone loves pictures so below are a bunch from our trip. I thought the above picture was so funny. It is Gwendolyn first noticing the many tourists around us.
