It's been a long day and we're wiped, but we are all okay. The fire,
power, and smoke seem to have stabilized. We'll be staying in SB and
at our house unless things change drastically over the next few days.
Our night nurse is coming tonight, so we're hoping everything stays
quiet so we can get some rest.
Gwendolyn had a good day and, to be honest, she hardly noticed the
chaos around her. This picture is from this afternoon. I found out
today that she loves it when I build up her blocks high above her and
let her knock them down on top of herself — this puzzled/surprised
look always follows the demolition

text messages offering support for us during this fire. Your kind,
generous offers have once again humbled us and please know how much we
