We are so proud of the Schmid family. Keith and Hillary Schmid, whose sweet baby Zane passed away at only 5 months old last June, are tireless advocates for SMA. They fundraise, they help other families, they raise awareness and they never seem to stop. Last weekend was another example of their remarkable efforts coming to life. The 2010 Winter Wine Fundraiser at the historic General Warren Inne was a big success, raising $3,300 for the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation. We'd like to sincerely thank Keith and Hillary for not only organizing this wonderful event to benefit GSF, but for their tireless dedication to SMA. We'd also like to thank their family and friends for their support and help in making the Winter Wine event such a success. We are truly honored to know an amazing family like the Schmid's — we only wish we were not connected because of SMA.
