A few months ago Kristen Kearns (aka sweet baby Zane's aunt) reached out to us to tell us about the wonderfully generous fundraiser that she and her partner, Lucy Rhodes, were starting. Kristen and Lucy are realtors in Pennsylvania (Main Line area) and they decided that with each home sale, a portion of their commission would go towards ending SMA — EVERY sale. And they've collaborated with morgage broker, Ron Bradley, of Capital Financial Morgage Corporation, and with each closing he will add an addition $250.00! This is incredibly generous to give a percentage of your livelihood and the concept is wonderfully creative. And so, each quarter Kristen and Lucy send a check to SMA charities — and we are so, so honored that they selected GSF as one of them.
This wonderful idea inspired Gramma to launch her own West Coast version. Gramma (or professionally known as Ellen Strong) is a realtor in the north Los Angeles area/San Fernando Valley. And she has also committed to donating a percentage of each sale to SMA research — EVERY sale. And as with Kristen and Lucy, the money donated in the transaction will be donated in YOUR name.
