Gwendolyn LOVES to swing on the swings. I mean she a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y LOVES it. On our almost daily walks we pass several parks and one has a huge children's playground. There is no way we can get past that park these days without taking a swing on those swings — which can be challenging if we're in a rush somewhere else but we've become masters of the well planned, sly detour She swings at the park and there isn't a single day that goes by at preschool without tackling those swings.
And what does she love about it? She loves to go fast. She loves going high, high, “higher Daddy!” She loves when one of her friends pushes us to get her there. She loves to lean back…way, way, way back to look up at the birds, the sky, the trees, the planes. She loves to wave her arm(s) in the air. She loves to feel the wind in her hair. She loves when we say “wheeeeee!” for/with her. What does she love about it? What doesn't she love about it. Our little daredevil loves every single second of it. And so do we.
