The 2nd Annual Trike-A-Thon is just around the corner and we absolutely LOVE this! There is just something so incredible about children helping children — and little ones are lining up once again to motor their little legs to help end SMA.
My dear, dear childhood friends, Theresa and Adri, came up with this super creative fundraiser last year. And it was a hit for the entire family. They played games, had a trike decorating contest, gave out prizes and everyone had tons of fun. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors all got involved. An incredible $1700 was rasied! And the chidlren were so proud of themselves knowing they were helping other children.
A trike-a-thon is simple: In a 10 minute time period, young children will cycle their way around a “track”, collecting pledges for each lap they make, and be cheered on for each little peddle they can muster! Adorable!!! There will be music, goodies, and fun for everyone. This is a super positive fun day for young children and their families! And we are so excited about it!!!

- RSVP: Email Adri asap. They will have a gift for each child so need a headcount and she will send you sponsor forms for your child's laps. Pledges from sponsors can be made in the amount of $1, $5, $10 or more per lap or a flat amount can be donated regardless of how many laps completed. Please bring the sponsor form with the collected pledges to the event and turn in all additional collected pledges no later than one week after the event. *ALL donations are tax deductible and can be made out to the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation.
We encourage all family and friends to come cheer the children on. This is an exciting event for them and spectators make it all the more fun! Please spread the word to neighbors and other families. And have fun!
